Website Tags

The following tags can be used in a website .txt file to do simple formatting. The tag should occupy its own line, and the "#" character must be in the first column. Kewords separated by "|" require a choice of one, keywords surrounded by paretheses are optional.

#include (filename)
Inserts the appropriate file, either .txt or .html, in the place occupied by the tag.

#header (header text)
Puts the (header text) in a first-level header tag.

#insert
Used in template.html to specify where to insert the page specified in the 'dir' URL parameter to index.cgi.

#navigation
Inserts a list of links to all the .txt files in the website.

#insertnews before|after (anybody)
News posted to the page is inserted before|after this mark. "anybody" allows public posting; without it, posting has to be done from the edit.cgi link.

#editnews linktitle
Inserts a link to a post page. Posts will be inserted in the page at the first #insertnews tag encountered.

Internal links

Surrounding a phrase with square brackets creates a link to the [appropriate page].

Special Pages

The following special pages are available:

piclist
If a directory called 'pictures' is available, a list of links to each directory is provided as a page

picpage
Takes the directory in pictures/ specified in the 'dir' URL parameter and develops a page containing all the .jpg pictures contained therein.
